How Do I Start Making Money Online?

It’s easy to make money online .. but also hard.

The easy bit is “Sell people something they wanna buy” ..

It can be hard though because you need to develop some marketing skills to be successful.

So instead of looking for the most lucrative affiliate program around, focus on getting the best training you can.

Staying Synced With Your Devices

Here’s a little insight into my crazy world of computers and multiple devices ..

[posted on my blog ]

You see, ALL of my work revolves around computers, and I like
to have access to my resources wherever I am.

So here’s what I do to keep track of articles, websites and emails
I want to look at but don’t necessarily have time the moment I find them.

Essential Tools To Stay Synced

GetPocket – I use this to keep in sync articles I want to read whether
I’m at my home PC, work PC or at a café using my Tablet.

Google Reader – subscribe to the RSS feed of blogs you’re interested.
An RSS reader is a much better way to surf the web. Take a tour:

Google Account – I can access my Google account for email,
calendar, tasks, photos, files (using Drive) from anywhere!

Password Management

LastPass  – a password safe you can install
on each computer you use (plus tablet or iPhone).

On the topic of passwords…
Your passwords need to be complex and different for each
website you register with.

How are you going to remember each password?
Here’s what I do (I recommend you do the same):
- figure out a pattern and use that to create each password
- store the password in LastPass so you don’t need to remember
it, but could work it out using the pattern if you have to.

Are You In The 3%?

Did you know that only 3% of internet marketers make over 90% of all the money online.

That means that 97% of internet marketers make less than 10% of all the money online.

Which one are you?

I bet you would like to be in the top 3%, but chances are you’re not?

The reason you haven’t been successful, is because that top 3% doesn’t want to share the real secrets to making money online with you.

Why? It’s not because they’re scumbags.

They’re protecting their business, which is to make money selling “how to make money online” products.

If really you want to make money online, you just need the right tools for the job.

It’s Not Your Fault

Get it? It’s not your fault you haven’t made money yet.
You just haven’t got the tools and resources you need.

The exact tools you need depends on what niche you want to specialise in. What are your strengths?

The Internet Marketing Revolution

There is an internet marketing revolution happening right now. People are forgetting the ‘Push Button Software’ crap to make money online.

All you need is a proven business model, and the knowledge in how to use it.

To find out more about this internet marketing revolution idea, I highly recommend you read this book Internet Marketing Revolution Handbook by Matt Lloyd.

I’ve read it myself, and I was inspired to record this review video:

If you enjoyed this post, please Like and +1 it. I really appreciate it.

I’ve been checking on some free, online SEO tools to find what the most popular (by inbound links) Empower Network blog posts are.

Drumroll ….. here they are:

Google Analytics Tracking Basics

When you have a website, it’s pretty important to know website tracking facts like:

  • How many visitors your site gets a day or a month
  • Where the visitors are geographically located
  • How long they stay on your site
  • How many pages they viewed
  • Plus even techy stuff like what web browser they prefer.

All this tracking, and more, can be set up quite easily using Google Analytics.

In this webinar, recorded mid 2011, I cover the basics of setting up Google Analytics.

Please Like and Google +1 if you found this useful. Many thanks.
